Christmas 2022

Happy Christmas to all our family and friends and we wish you a prosperous and peaceful new year. When so much is uncertain globally right now I am sure that you join us in longing for a praying for peace on this earth.

We hope you can work your way around the bog! A note of caution – please don’t be put off by the page link as Linda still cannot work out how to remove the 2019 title (3 years later!). You have to keep following links to different pages. A prize of smugness goes to anyone who can get to all 12 months – and you can even go down memory lane all the way to 2019 should you have too much time on your hands!

Tom’s news

Tom continues to support people as they leave detention in His Majesty’s hospitality doing a sterling job helping them to find accommodation,  employment and hopefully to be able to stay free. His highlight of the year was acting as the expert, which he certainly is, on three UK pilgrim tours for American tourists and fellow pilgrim followers. Tom loved going back to the States to be with our family and friends there. Tom sends a Christmas kiss to you…

Linda’s news

Linda has continued working in our local authority as a strategic education lead and sometimes working for His Majesty visiting schools, which means being that difficult person who asks endless questions to make sure children are getting a good deal in school. When free she still loves nothing more than getting hands dirty in soil, chopping vegetables, and creating with a needle – or just creating really (read that as you will)

Samuel’s news

Samuel has had a year of globe trotting with his work in the Department for International Trade – there must be a His Majesty in there somewhere! Firstly, he spend 6 weeks in India supporting the trade negotiations there, and now he has just flown off to Saudi Arabia. He is currently living in Riad. Samuel and Aky have made some much valued visits to be with us.

Eleanor’s news

Eleanor has made us very proud by becoming the final person in the family to join the ‘firm’ and qualify as a teacher in Leeds. I guess she is also somehow under the command of His M? Eleanor is teaching her first class of six year olds, and is bringing her usual creativity to it. We love to see her too. Eleanor finds real joy in her outdoor pursuits and Travel Squad activities

The kitties

Sad news is that after much thought we had to re home our kitties as it was discovered that Linda was highly allergic to cats. It was the right decision as Linda’s health has massively improved, and Edgar and Bella are very happy in a huge house in the village, where they have lots of room to roam free. Linda still cannot bring herself to visit them though.  We are thankful we had them to bring us fun and headaches for a while. Of, course we still have their marks around the house to remember them by!
